Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Levels A, C or HCP/BLS – Re-Certification

Comprehensive course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to workplace requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home.

Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards (WSIB) and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

The following are prerequisites for Standard First Aid Re-Certification (all three prerequisites must be meet)

  • Re-Certification course date is before current expiration date
  • Previous Standard First Aid course was in full and not a 1-day Re-Certification
  • Current certification was provided by the Canadian Red Cross

Course Delivery Options

  • Traditional Classroom is an in person interactive classroom experience where participants gain first aid/CPR knowledge and have an opportunity to practice their skills with the support of a First Aid/CPR Instructor.

DURATION

  • CPR A: 7 hours in-class
  • CPR C: 7.5 hours in-class
  • HCP/BLS: 9 hours in-class

PREREQUISITE

  • None

COMPLETION

  • Successfully demonstrate skills and critical steps
  • Min. 75% mark for written knowledge evaluation
  • Attend and participate in 100% of the course

CERTIFICATION

  • 3-year certification in Standard First Aid and CPR Level A, C or HCP/BLS
