Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR/AED w/ Airway Management & Oxygen Therapy

The Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides training in recognizing and responding to cardiovascular emergencies and choking, with a focus on high-quality CPR and AED use for adults, children and infants. The course also includes training in airway management, opioid-associated emergencies and team dynamics. Course includes Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy. Basic Life Support (BLS) 1-year certification.

Airway Management is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to create a patent airway, the interventions to maintain it, and the equipment available to carry out these skills. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills required to provide the appropriate interventions, including measuring and inserting the applicable airway adjunct based on the patient’s condition. Airway Management is a 3-year certification

Oxygen Therapy is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to correctly identify when it is necessary to administer supplemental oxygen. Participants will learn how to properly and safely handle and assemble the equipment and how to correctly deliver supplemental oxygen through the appropriate delivery device. Oxygen Therapy is a 3-year certification. 1-day-3 certifications.

The BLS course is geared towards in-facility care providers, including nursing staff, care aides, medical and dental professionals. Pre-hospital care providers, which may include professionals in a fire service, rescue team, sports-medicine, and ski patrol.

Our instructor’s use a variety of teaching methods to enhance learning, promote group participation and cater to the various learner needs. We use a learner-centered approach and incorporate a lot of hands-on teaching to review, demonstrate and practice skills. Our BLS equipment is the latest in the field of First Aid/CPR to simulate real life emergencies.

  • Traditional Classroom is an in person interactive classroom experience where participants gain first aid/CPR knowledge and have an opportunity to practice their skills with the support of a First Aid/CPR Instructor.

  • Opioid-Associated Emergencies: Recognize & respond to overdose
  • Post-Cardiac Arrest Care: Understanding steps to take after successful resuscitation
